iPad survive getting run over by car inside the G-Form iPad Case

iPad survive getting run over by car inside G-Form Extreme Sleeve Case

Sorry if you are already sick of me reporting on G-Form case, but they are really too amazing to ignore. Previously we have posted on dropping a bowling ball onto the iPad sleeve, and throwing your precious 13″ Macbook Pro from second level of your house. So, how about running over your iPad with a car?

Mobile Syrup have recently done a review on the iPad G-Form Sleeve, and what they did was getting a car to go over the case with an iPad inside! Surprising it survived! Everything seems to function as per normal, and we can’t see any scratches on the iPad 2!

iPad leading Tablet Market, causing netbook to lose ground

Nielsen have done a survey on why people are so interested in using tablet devices like iPad. Main reasons are Easy to carry, ease of interface and fast start up and off. I’m sure before tablet, netbook is also easy to carry about, but it lacks the ease of use and fast start up and off. Thus we are now seeing a up trend of tablets and the slow death of netbooks.

Check out the chart below:

Looking the survey result above, tablet devices are not killing just netbooks, but desktop and laptops! Steve Jobs mention when he first launch iPad, he says that iPad is the class of devices between Mac and iPhones. Although all of us are still using our desktop and laptops, but we are using less of them…

So who’s the leader? Of course its iPad –

iPad is the clear winner, and all other competitors are really no where near Apple’s iPad. Got to praise Steve Jobs on his vision, but tablet market is still very new, so we will still be the winner in the next year?

G-Form Extreme Sleeve for Laptop protects Macbook Pro from 20ft drop!

Remember G-Form? They are the guys who built the G-Form iPad sleeve that protects your iPad from a 3ft bowling ball drop on it. Now they also came out with this Laptop Sleeve which protected Macbook Pro 13 inch from a 20feet drop from the balcony!

Pretty impressive har? It not only protect the Macbook Pro from scratch, it also have shock-protection, thus dropping it from a second level balcony cause no harm to it.

It sounds like they are building iPad on 1994 [Video]

Ideas don’t just come to us overnight. It seems like people have been looking at tablets even during 1994, and what they have been designing sounds very similar to what we have now in our iPad.

Of course we know that Steve Jobs has been wanting to build iPad from the first day he starts his company, but technology is just now there. All computers are just too bulky and no way to pack them into such a slim device like iPad.  But it is just pure amazing that people has been toying around the idea for so long.

US President Obama is our fellow Apple Fan Boy? [Video]

Obama Love Apple’s Products

Is US President Barack Obama our fellow Apple Fan Boy? No, we aren’t just making it up, he loves Apple, or at least he love using Apple’s Product. We all know that US President Obama is one of the most tech-savvy president ever for United States. He used Twitter and Facebook during his champaign.

He is recently caught carrying his iPad 2 as he walks to Marine One. His iPad 2 is covered by a gray SmartCover, I’m just wondering what apps he uses. It is just plain cool to see one of the most powerful man on earth enjoying the same product as us. Below are the 2 video of him, one showing US citizen healthcare website using his Macbook Pro and one interview with Jorge Ramos asking President Obama whether he own an iPad.

iPad is causing unemployment in US? [Video]

Are you sure you wanna blame iPad causing unemployment in US? I’m not so sure if I agree on what he have said, but if you say indirectly causing it… It might be still quite valid as almost all products nowadays are all manufacture in China.

Apple is tracking our location via iPhone, but why? [Video]

It is now confirmed that Apple is storing location informations of every iPhone users. Peter Warden and Alasdair Allan have found out that iOS have a database storing information of the location of iPhone and is taking a snap of the location almost every minute.

The picture which you have seen on top, is the location information store by iPhone from one of the creator of iPhoneTracker, who have create an application to let you import the location data that your iPhone is storing and displaying in a map format.

I have downloaded the software, and have load the map with my location information, and it is just pure amazing. It really did record down my whole Taiwan Trip on Oct 2010 and the more recent US trip on March 2011

Taiwan Trip 2010:

My recent US Trip on March 2011:

Interesting yeah? I have no idea, Apple can map my journey so well, it can almost be used as a proof if I ever have to show my location at any point of time. But why is Apple doing this? All this location information did not expire after almost 1 year. Why do Apple need to keep location information of their users for such a long time?

Apple have not gave us any information or reply on this issue.
