1 Millions iOS Devices jailbroken by Jailbreakme.com

It is just 1 day since Jailbreakme.com is launched, and 1 million iPhone, iPad, iPad 2 and iPod Touch have been jailbroken by it. It is a huge number, much more than what we expected. This might be the largest amount of devices jailbroken on a single day.

To be honest, I would like to know the percentage of devices that was jailbroken. I will bet that 70% or more should be iPad 2, as previous jailbreak methods still can’t jailbreak iPad 2.

Of course, Apple will not just sit back and relax over this matter. Apple’s spokewoman Bethan Lloyd has confirmed that they are “aware of this reported issue and will be developing a fix that will be available in the upcoming software update”. Comex are using a PDF exploit, thus it is treated as a vulnerability for iOS, so I’m sure Apple will be releasing a update very soon.

So before anything comes out and break the Jailbreak, please proceed to Jailbreakme.com and enjoy!

Jailbreak for iPad 2 coming very soon.

Jailbreakme.com will be opening up for business very soon! This yellow sticky ‘We’ll back soon’ is always used by Apple when they close their Apple Store for updates or maintenance. So we can be quite sure jailbreakme will be back very soon.

Especially when some testers have leaked out the beta jailbreakme url which allows iOS devices to be jailbroken via Safari.

It is rumored that jailbreakme.com will be officially launch tomorrow 6 July. Let’s wait and see if iPad 2 jailbreak is finally coming to us.

Comex’s Jailbreakme coming to us very soon? And yes, it is for iPad 2 too.

Jailbreakme.com, easiest jailbreak process ever.

It is a break through, and Comex is now planning to relaunch Jailbreakme.com for iOS 4.3.3 and below. Yes you might say they are late in the game, you can already jailbreak iOS 4.3.3 with redSn0w or pwnagetools. But Jailbreakme is reportly able to jailbreak iPad 2, yes iPad 2! The long awaited iPad 2 jailbreak might come in 2 weeks time.

Mac Developers: If you did not attend WWDC2011, you can now download the videos.

As usual, Apple will hold their World Wide Developer Conference every year, and without fail, they will post the videos records during the conference up for download. Although the videos are only made available for Mac Developers, but this is greatly helpful, especially those developers we did not make it to the conference itself.

I’m sure with all the videos, developers can learn more about the up coming iOS 5 and Lion OS with ease. So check out the videos from WWDC 2011 here. Videos can be either downloaded to iTunes, or stream via Safari and I’m sure you can watch them via iPad or iPhones.

Real Racing 2 to support Dual-Screen Gaming with AirPlay!

Stream games from iPad/iPhone to your AppleTV via Wifi on iOS 5

Great news to all gamers! Firemint, the creator of Real Racing 2 will be supporting AirPlay over Wifi with iOS 5. Meaning you will be able to play your game on your iPad, but view the screen on your HDTV, not your iPad/iPhone! What makes it even better is that Real Racing will not just mirror the output from iPad to HDTV, but make full use of the dual screen that you have.  It will be similar to the picture on top, having the racing on your HDTV, but supporting information like maps, laps and timing on your iPad/iPhone screen.

Apple marching into the gaming industry, Strong.

Pretty cool right? I mean it is awesome! It kinda of reminds me of Nintendo’s DS, which have 2 screen showing supporting information. But imagine this on your HDTV and iPad. Actually now, you are already able to play this dual screen game, but you will need to hook up your iPad with HDMI cable to your TV to do it. But when iOS 5 comes, you can stream it via wifi to your Apple TV.

Firemint’s Real Racing 2 HD with AirPlay is a game-changer

Relish Real Racing 2 HD’s superb visuals as they’re streamed effortlessly to your big screen TV. Grip your iPad 2 and steer with unerring precision and the freedom of wireless play. Stay closer than ever to the track with real-time racing telemetry, displayed directly on your iPad’s screen.

Honestly. I think consoles like Sony PS3, and Microsoft’s Xbox 360 will now have a new challenger in the market. I can’t believe that our multi-functional iPad, which I use to check emails and surf web on the go, can be my console when I reach home!

iCloud – Free, Calendar, Documents, Photo Stream and iTunes for iOS and Macs

iCloud is free

iCloud is free. This is the greatest news I have heard so far in WWDC 2011. Why? Because it is free for both iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and even your Macs. Now we have a fully integrated cloud system running through all our iOS Devices and Macs.

Calendar on iCloud

Calendar will be sync to iCloud, so all your calendar data on your Macs, iPad or iPhone will be sync to the same data, and can be access via any devices.

Now data on your iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch will be backup daily to iCloud, so you won’t need to backup them via any PC/Macs. Data like purchased music, apps, books, camera rolls(photo & video), device settings and app data will be backup to icloud. So if we get a new iPhone, we can just key in our iTunes account ID and password, everything will be sync back to the new iPhone.

Documents on iOS devices and Macs will be able to be stored on iCloud. Not only documents can be stored on iCloud, it will be pushed to all iOS devices on the same account. It works like dropbox.

Photo Stream for all iOS and Macs!

Photo Stream is one of my favorite addition. Now everytime when I take a photo on my iPhone or iPad, it will be automatically uploaded to iCloud, which you can view on any iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch or Macs!

The cool thing is we not only can view, we also can save it down to the devices, like Macs. So we don’t need sync-ing virtually! Which save alot of effort! Pretty sweet. I love it! iCloud will store all photos for 30 days, and for the last 1000 photos. Of course, the copy in your devices will not be deleted.

Music can be downloaded via iTunes on up to 10 devices. So you can purchase 1 song, and redownload it up to 10 devices over the wifi. So you won’t have to sync up to copy the songs over. Pretty neat, although we in Singapore don’t really get to buy music over iTunes.

iTunes Match for iCloud

iTunes Match is a service that will “backup” your iTunes music into iCloud for all the music in your iTunes library. Of course you will think that it will take weeks to upload. No iTunes Match uses a very unique service and software that will scan your library and match all the music Apple already have in their store. They will only upload those songs that are not in their library, so it will only take minutes to upload your whole library! Pretty cool! But it is a paid service at $24.99 per year for iTunes Match.

iMessage – New messaging for iOS

New Messaging system – iMessage

iMessage is a new messaging system that Apple will be adding to iOS 5. Now message will now go through as data, so you can send not only text, photos, video, contacts and even group messages. iMessage will not only be on iPhone, it will also be on iPad and iPod Touch.

This is pretty cool, because we never had any messaging system on iPad or iPod Touch. Now we can actually use iPad as a messaging system, but we ain’t not sure is it tied to email address or iTunes account.

All iOS devices will sync up

But what we know is that all devices like iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch can be sync up with the same message if you tie them to the same account.

New Notification system on iOS 5

New Notification on iOS 5

Yes, finally a new notification system for iPhone and iPad! No longer we will be interrupted by notification when we are playing our games! Apple will be implementing new Notification that will not interrupt your game or apps, but you will still be notify when that’s a new email or sms.

No Interruptions from notification

This is pretty important, as iOS devices are already one of the best gaming devices, but the gaming experience is not as good due to the interrupt we always get when that’s a new message and our game will be interrupted. Now no more.

Locked Screen notification

Locked Screen notification! Yeah! So now you will have a summary list of notification you have gotten on your locked screen, so you won’t need to unlock your phone just to see all those notification! Pretty neat.

New Mail.app for Mac OS Lion

New Mail.app

Yes, Mac OS Lion will be getting a new Mail Client. It even gotten a new icon, which have a metallic looks. Overview of the Mail.app seems to be very very similar to what we have seen on iPad’s mail client. They want to have a more generic looks and feel so users will feel very familiar when they use mail on iPad and Macs.

Mail.app will have a conversation view for emails. Yes, same look and feel of iPad’s mail.
