Play game on Apple TV via iPad and use iPhone as controller! [Video]

Play games on Apple TV via iPad with iPhone controller

Joypad is very interesting app, with this app, you will be able to play iPad games on your TV via AppleTV and use your iPhone as controller! In other words, it will treat your iPad as a “console” and stream the game from iPad to AppleTV and uses your iPhone as controller.

Very cool right? It uses their special SDK and is able to stream gameplay to AppleTV via Airplay. iPhone is connected to iPad via Bluetooth, thus you will be able to as controller. But the amount of games support this SDK is quite limited. You can see the list of supported games here.

You will be able to download Joypad here.

EA Back to School Sales for iOS Games

Yes, Back to School Sales from EA.

I’m not too sure why is it called back to school promotion, as we all know parents hate their kids to play games, and worse if schools are back! Of course, EA is putting up sales because they don’t want kids to be overstressed due to school reopen. A little sale can be good, as you can let your kids play abit of games, while studying hard.

Remember, All work no Play will bring you no where! So, check out EA’s Back to School Sales here. iPad and iPhone Games are discounted up to 80%, a pretty good deal.

Real Racing 2 to support Dual-Screen Gaming with AirPlay!

Stream games from iPad/iPhone to your AppleTV via Wifi on iOS 5

Great news to all gamers! Firemint, the creator of Real Racing 2 will be supporting AirPlay over Wifi with iOS 5. Meaning you will be able to play your game on your iPad, but view the screen on your HDTV, not your iPad/iPhone! What makes it even better is that Real Racing will not just mirror the output from iPad to HDTV, but make full use of the dual screen that you have.  It will be similar to the picture on top, having the racing on your HDTV, but supporting information like maps, laps and timing on your iPad/iPhone screen.

Apple marching into the gaming industry, Strong.

Pretty cool right? I mean it is awesome! It kinda of reminds me of Nintendo’s DS, which have 2 screen showing supporting information. But imagine this on your HDTV and iPad. Actually now, you are already able to play this dual screen game, but you will need to hook up your iPad with HDMI cable to your TV to do it. But when iOS 5 comes, you can stream it via wifi to your Apple TV.

Firemint’s Real Racing 2 HD with AirPlay is a game-changer

Relish Real Racing 2 HD’s superb visuals as they’re streamed effortlessly to your big screen TV. Grip your iPad 2 and steer with unerring precision and the freedom of wireless play. Stay closer than ever to the track with real-time racing telemetry, displayed directly on your iPad’s screen.

Honestly. I think consoles like Sony PS3, and Microsoft’s Xbox 360 will now have a new challenger in the market. I can’t believe that our multi-functional iPad, which I use to check emails and surf web on the go, can be my console when I reach home!

iReview: Fruit Blast

MEDL Mobile have recently invited me to do a review of Fruit Blast, a app built by a father and son. It seems to be pretty interesting as father now build apps with kids rather than lego or treehouse. It is really amazing how our world have evolved and changed!

Fruit Blast have a very interesting concept, by using Apple iOS’s accelerometer to  detect your aiming let you fire off weapons to “destroy” fruits that are throw at you by a monkey! It is pretty difficult to aim at first, but after a few rounds it is quite fun. I would say that the start up screen is abit confusing, so I’m not sure how to start playing the game, but after awhile you will understand what you need to do to play. They have in app purchasing system, where you can actually buy more seeds to upgrade your weapons so you can destroy the fruits easier and faster!

Check out the demo video of Fruit Blast:

Infinity Blade – The most stunning graphics for iOS devices

Epic Games after much anticipation finally release their stunning graphics game, Infinity Blade. The game is base on Epic’s “unreal engine” technology which was showcased during the previous Apple event. I would say that the graphics are really very impressive, but if the storyline can be longer or better, it will be one of the must epic games around in iOS devices. But we see the potential on how good graphics can be on mobile devices and at this kind of price range.

You can download Infinity Blade in App Store now for $6.99

Check out the below demo video of Infinity Blade:
