Play game on Apple TV via iPad and use iPhone as controller! [Video]

Play games on Apple TV via iPad with iPhone controller

Joypad is very interesting app, with this app, you will be able to play iPad games on your TV via AppleTV and use your iPhone as controller! In other words, it will treat your iPad as a “console” and stream the game from iPad to AppleTV and uses your iPhone as controller.

Very cool right? It uses their special SDK and is able to stream gameplay to AppleTV via Airplay. iPhone is connected to iPad via Bluetooth, thus you will be able to as controller. But the amount of games support this SDK is quite limited. You can see the list of supported games here.

You will be able to download Joypad here.

Is this iPhone 5? [Rumors]

Is this iPhone 5?

Apple’s latest Photo Stream Beta might accidentally leaked the new iPhone’s design. Look below and you will see an instruction for Apple’s Photo Stream, but look closely at the iPhone icon. It is not iPhone 4’s design, nor any previous iPhone design.

Looks like something that we have seen before?

I’m not sure if you have notice, but don’t it look very similar to thisismynext’s design concept for the next iPhone? I didn’t believe Apple’s next iPhone design will look like what thisismynext drawn out, but with this icon. It seems like the design is really close to what they have.

Apple’s Design grows on you

Nevertheless, let’s wait patiently for Apple’s keynote, and see what does then next iPhone looks like. I’m very confident Apple’s design will grow on you. I used to think iPhone 4’s design look weird, but after using it for a few months. iPhone 3GS’s design look very kiddy to me, where as iPhone 4 looks very solid and professional.

Hitler’s comment to Apple losing another iPhone Prototype in Bar [Video]

Seriously Apple or Seriously Media? It is abit hard to believe! CNet reported that Apple might have lost yet another iPhone prototype in a bar in San Francisco! It is too hard for me to believe, as I’m sure after the previous incident, Apple should be having alot of precaution.

According to CNet:

A day or two after the phone was lost at San Francisco’s Cava 22, which describes itself as a “tequila lounge” that also serves lime-marinated shrimp ceviche, Apple representatives contacted San Francisco police, saying the device was priceless and the company was desperate to secure its safe return, the source said. Still unclear are details about the device, what version of the iOS it was running, and what it looks like.

Apple electronically traced the phone to a two-floor, single-family home in San Francisco’s Bernal Heights neighborhood, according to the source.

When San Francisco police and Apple’s investigators visited the house, they spoke with a man in his twenties who acknowledged being at Cava 22 on the night the device went missing. But he denied knowing anything about the phone. The man gave police permission to search the house, and they found nothing, the source said.

Anyway, let’s hear out Hitler’s view on Apple losing another iPhone Prototype:

Piolo iPhone 4 Stand Give Away (Singapore)

Remember Piolo? Piolo is an iPhone 4 stand which you can use to prop up your iPhone in landscape and also portrait. This is especially useful when you are on a plane or at your desk and tries to watch a movie.

Piolo guys has been very kind, and they have sent to us to review. So first look of Piolo iPhone 4 stand that it is very light and easy to bring around with. It don’t use up much space, so it won’t be a problem bring it around. But one issue that I encounter is that Piolo fit to your iPhone 4 so well that, if you are using a case for your iPhone, you don’t support it that well. It is kind of the down side, but every other thing works very well.

Giveaways! 3 of them!

Of course we will be giving it out the remaining 3 unopened Piolo iPhone 4 Stand to readers staying in Singapore! Just like our UsingApple Facebook Fan Page, and leave a comment to us which colour you want. We have Pink, Blue and Yellow to be chosen. We will select the winners on 4th of September 2011, winners will be notified via Facebook.

Ran 21km to create this Apple logo in Japan

This is very cool, media producer and marathon runner Joseph Tame ran 21km in Japan in order to create this Apple logo track with his iPhone. Of course this is not his first time doing runs like this, but this run is specially for Steve Jobs who recently quit as CEO of Apple.

He said:

It’s for this that I’d like to personally show my appreciation to Steve for his vision and leadership, which has made a direct positive impact upon my life.

This morning’s run, which spanned central Tokyo, took me first down the western side of the Imperial Palace, across to Roppongi, through Omotesando, then up to Shinjuku. The leaf is in Kagurazaka, and the start/finish point just by the entrance to Yasukuni Shrine.

Let’s hope that Steve Jobs’ health will get better, we really wish to see more of him.

iPhone the Number 1 Smartphone for 3 years, more to come?

iPhone, the most popular smartphone

Most popular smartphone for the past 3 years? If this question is asked, I’m sure most will answer iPhone. Yes, iPhone have been the most popular smartphone since 2009, and still remains as the most popular. Since a few years ago, iPhone slowly grew from a small market share, to now almost all my friends are using one.

Millennial Media, did a report and ranked all smartphone by impression. Only iPhone and Blackberry Curve stayed in the chart for 12 months. So I’m pretty sure in 2-3 years down the road, iPhone will still be in this chart.

Apple’s Advantages

But how did Apple achieved this? From my point of view, Apple have a very strong advantage of having control of both Hardware and Software of the iPhone. Not only software works well, it works very well with the phone. Android, one of iPhone’s strongest competitor now, is not having this benefit. Thus sparks off Google’s recent purchase of Motorola Mobility. Now Google’s Android will have some control over their hardware and all of their software. This will put Android in a stronger position.

So will we see both iPhone and Android Phone on the chart in the next 3 years? Let’s Stay tuned.

Apple is now buying back old Macs, iPhone and iPad

Green Apple

Apple is one of the greenest tech companies in the world, they are always pushing their product to be as green as possible. Not just making green products, Apple tries to minmum the CO by reduce weight of shipping weight and reducing carbon footprint. They tries to encourage recycling by recycling all Apple products for free.

Reuse and Recycle

But today Apple pushed recycling to the new limit and launches Reuse and Recycle program. Yes, Apple will buy back workable old Apple or non-Apple product back. They will provide free shipping and free packaging for your old Notebook, Desktop, iPad and iPhone! This is a pretty nice service, although you might be able to get better resale price on ebay or other auction sites, but it can not be easier to sell your products back to Apple.

One important note is that all value of your product will be translated to an Apple Gift Card of the same value. Since it is Apple Gift Card, you will be only able to use in Apple Store or buy Apps/music in Apple’s App Store or iTunes.

So if you have any old Apple products or PC, check out Apple’s Reuse and Recycle Program.
