HP’s Chairman uses Apple Macbook Air

This is one of the most amazing photo I have seen so far in Tech world. HP Chairman of Board Ray Lane is actually a Mac User. Apple is one of the most important competitor of HP’s Business, but HP’s Chairman himself is using Apple’s Macbook Air 13 inch!

I really don’t know what he is trying to convey, but I really can’t believe he even allow this picture to be taken and posted on reuters. At least now we are sure Ray Lane is someone who know what a good computer should look and feel like.

Apple air new iPad 2 ad – Love [Video]

Apple just air their new iPad 2 ad – Love. As usual, Apple’s Ads always touch people’s heart. In this ad, it shows how iPad 2 is part of what people are passionated about and loved about. Things like basketball coaching using iPad 2 to show formation during a competition, band mixing their music, a car designer, a artist drawing on iPad 2 and just a kid loving his iPad 2.

Love iPad 2.

iPad, iPod Touch and iPhone are the top 3 most desired gadget among kids for this Christmas!

Nielsen just did a survey, among the kids in US most of them want Apple Products for their Christmas this year! With iPad getting 44%, iPod Touch 30% and iPhone 27%, it seems like Apple is really popular among kids.

Apple really have a very special touch in their design of their products. Kids, Adults and Aged all love to use them. Simple is really the way to go for consumer products as the results and surveys all proved so.

iPhone 4S is now the 2nd Most Popular Camera Phone on Flickr

Apple’s iPhone 4S has been just out in the market for just close to a month, but it is already the second most popular Phone Camera on Flickr! This is a very impressive result for Apple, and also clearly shows that Apple’s iPhone 4S is not just selling well, but its 8megapixel camera is shoot really beautiful pictures.

The only phone on top of iPhone 4S is iPhone 4! Apple has been creating very user friendly phone and phones that shoot sharp and pretty photos. In fact, iPhone 4 is the most popular camera on Flickr, on top of cameras like Nikon D90 and Canon 5D mark II.

Amazon Kindle Fire vs Apple iPad 2 [Video]

iPad 2 vs Kindle Fire

Apple iPad 2 is the best selling tablet in the market right now, even though companies like Samsung and Motorola are pushing out Android tablets, none of their sales are as good as Apple’s. One of the main reason why Android Tablet is not selling as well is the iTunes, iBooks and Apps Eco-System that Apple has.

Apple’s iPad is not only one of the best tablet hardware available right now, but Apple also have Music, Video, eBooks, Apps market. Thus users are able to buy and consume all of the above. This not only make iPad more useful, it also drive Apple to reduce the profit made from the hardware as they will be able to gain back by selling music, video, books or apps.

Amazon’s Kindle Fire might be the only real competitor with iPad as Amazon like Apple have the same eco-system. So can $199 Kindle Fire’s hardware be on par with iPad 2?

Check out the video below:

By looking at the video, Kindle Fire is not in anyway on par with iPad 2. It is more like a budget tablet which have very similar functionality with iPad 2, but is cheap. Although there is no match with the performance and responsive, but with less than half of the price of iPad 2, you will be able to read books, watch videos, play games and listen to audio books via this tablet with a 7 inch screen. I would say it is pretty worth it, if you are on a budget or you enjoy Amazon’s stores.

Apple TV is now cheaper and named Apple TV 2010

Apple TV is now cheaper in Amazon and they have named it Apple TV 2010 Model. Amazon normally have some clues when it comes to Apple’s product updates. So with this movement of dropping Apple TV price and renaming it to 2010 model, does it means that we might be getting a new Apple TV very soon?

I have been waiting for Apple TV refresh for quite some time, Although Apple TV 2010 Model is not sold in Singapore, but there is just more and more reasons for getting Apple TV. One of them is AirPlay, which you can mirror everything from your iPad/iPhone to your big screen in your living room.

In the recent Steve Jobs Biography, he mentioned that he cracked how TV should work, I really can’t wait for the product that he cracked to be out.

Siri ported to iPhone 4 and iPod Touch [Video]

Siri is finally ported to iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4th Generation! It took Steve Troughton-Smith just a few weeks to perfect the port.

Steve did a interview with 9to5mac.com on his journey to port it over:

Mark: Where do you go from here with the port?

Steven: At this point it’s all about confirming this works across devices, making it reproducible (we got it working on two devices today), and documenting everything. It does require files from an iPhone 4S which aren’t ours to distribute, and it also requires a validation token from the iPhone 4S that has to be pulled live from a jailbroken iPhone 4S, and it’s about a 20-step process right now.

Mark: In its current state, is the port 100% functional, is there anything you would like to see work better?

Steven: Yes, it seems to be 100% functional. I’m working on the rough edges, but everything that works on the iPhone 4S seems to work here.

Mark: Do you ever see Siri showing up in Cydia (or another jailbreak store) for non natively supported devices?

Steven: No, I could not be a part of that. I have no doubts that others will package this up and distribute it quasi-illegally, or try and sell it to people. I am only interested in the technology and making it work; proving that it works and works well on the iPhone 4 and other devices.

Mark: So, you also got Siri working on the fourth-generation iPod touch, how is that working out?

Steven: We got chpwn’s iPod touch up and running with Siri after proving it works on my iPhone 4. Unfortunately the microphone on the iPod is nowhere near as good as the iPhone – you will notice that the Siri level meter hardly moves when you talk to it. While it does work, you have to speak loudly and clearly to the iPod.
