M1, SingTel and Starhub iPad 2 Plan Comparison

M1, SingTel and Starhub now carry iPad 2!

Finally all 3 Teleco are having their very own iPad 2 Plan! So how different or similar are the plans between the 3 companies?

To my surprise, SingTel this time round is having one of the most affordable plans among them. Although both Starhub and M1 are providing unlimited data bundle, whereas SingTel only provides 50GB of Data. But honestly, I doubt anyone can finish up 50Gb in a month, unless you are downloading constantly  on your iPad, or you are using the Mobile Broadband as your main home network.

Check out the chart below and you will find out that all 3 carriers’ iPad 2for 16GB, 32GB and 64GB are priced the same at $399,$499 and $599. So there ain’t much to compare other than the monthly subscription cost and Data Bundle.

So do check out M1, SingTel or Starhub if you wish to purchase your iPad 2 from Teleco and enjoy the discounted price. Else you can also buy iPad 2 directly from Apple through its Apple Store.

Apple repairs damaged devices in Japan Disasters for free!

Remember when Japan was hit with Tsunami, Apple Japan changed their main page to dedicate to the victims and did not display their newly launched iPad 2. Later on they help raise funds through iTunes for Red Cross, let victims charge their iPads and iPhones in the store and even let them surf web with their WiFi and even their Macs in stores.

Lots of respect to Apple Japan in organizing so much for the victims of Japan Disasters, and no they did not stop. Now they are offering free repairs to damaged devices from Apple at no cost for all victims of the Tsunami. Honestly this news touched my heart and I love them even more for the effort that they put in.

Enlarge your iPad’s disk space with Seagate’s GoFlex Satellite

Segate GoFlex Satellite wireless storage for iOS devices!

Seagate is launching a brand new range of GoFlex called Satellite, a battery powered mobile hard drive with Wi-Fi which you can connect up with your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. It is reported that the disk’s standby battery life can last up to 25 hours or 4 hours of continuous video streaming. What’s cool is that you can still hook up your hard disk via USB 3.0 incase the battery went flat.

Apple’s accessories currently do not really support USB 3.0, although you can still connect via USB 2.0. But imagine now you have a 500GB hard disk that you can bring around with you, copying files, videos, music and photos from laptops to it. When you want to watch video or listen to music, you can just stream it from your portable hard disk via Wi-Fi. To be honest, it is very cool and useful.

iPad survive getting run over by car inside G-Form Extreme Sleeve Case

Sorry if you are already sick of me reporting on G-Form case, but they are really too amazing to ignore. Previously we have posted on dropping a bowling ball onto the iPad sleeve, and throwing your precious 13″ Macbook Pro from second level of your house. So, how about running over your iPad with a car?

Mobile Syrup have recently done a review on the iPad G-Form Sleeve, and what they did was getting a car to go over the case with an iPad inside! Surprising it survived! Everything seems to function as per normal, and we can’t see any scratches on the iPad 2!

2011 iMacs impossible to upgrade your own hard drive

Upgrading parts in iMacs

Upgrading hard drive and ram are never easy on iMac, as iMac is just a power-packed machine with large screen. Thus everything is just packed so tightly and neat. But 2011 iMacs make upgrading Hard disk in your iMac even harder as Apple have change the SATA connector from a 4-pins to a 7-pins. This helps Apple’s firmware to control the fans for the drive temperature, but due to that when you upgrade hard disk yourselve, the disk will spin out of control, as the firmware will not control the fan speed anymore.

So plan your purchase when you are buying your next iMac. 🙂

Google Love Apple! At least their engineers at Google IO

Apple just recently took over Google is the top brand in the world. Why? Just look at the engineers at the recent Google I/O, most of the Google’s engineers are using Apple’s Macbook Pro and iMacs! This is just how much Google Love Apple!

Google Engineers love Mac

iPad leading Tablet Market, causing netbook to lose ground

Nielsen have done a survey on why people are so interested in using tablet devices like iPad. Main reasons are Easy to carry, ease of interface and fast start up and off. I’m sure before tablet, netbook is also easy to carry about, but it lacks the ease of use and fast start up and off. Thus we are now seeing a up trend of tablets and the slow death of netbooks.

Check out the chart below:

Looking the survey result above, tablet devices are not killing just netbooks, but desktop and laptops! Steve Jobs mention when he first launch iPad, he says that iPad is the class of devices between Mac and iPhones. Although all of us are still using our desktop and laptops, but we are using less of them…

So who’s the leader? Of course its iPad –

iPad is the clear winner, and all other competitors are really no where near Apple’s iPad. Got to praise Steve Jobs on his vision, but tablet market is still very new, so we will still be the winner in the next year?

G-Form Extreme Sleeve for Laptop protects Macbook Pro from 20ft drop!

Remember G-Form? They are the guys who built the G-Form iPad sleeve that protects your iPad from a 3ft bowling ball drop on it. Now they also came out with this Laptop Sleeve which protected Macbook Pro 13 inch from a 20feet drop from the balcony!

Pretty impressive har? It not only protect the Macbook Pro from scratch, it also have shock-protection, thus dropping it from a second level balcony cause no harm to it.
